Hello, my friends! I’m Julia Hodges, and I’m so happy you’re here at Grand Affiliate. I started this blog to help people break free from financial stress, and the journey that brought me here is deeply personal.
The idea of starting my own business first took root during the pandemic. I watched family members, after years of loyal service in corporate jobs, suddenly lose everything. It made me question everything I thought I knew about money. But this wasn’t my first brush with financial insecurity.
Growing up, my family lived paycheck to paycheck, always hoping for more without knowing how to escape the cycle. Eventually, we made the hard decision to move across the country, leaving behind our support system in search of a better life.
That moment changed everything for me. I went from dreaming of becoming a doctor to pursuing a career in finance because I wanted to understand money and help others take control of their financial lives.
Even if our exact stories are different, I believe many of us share the same emotions: helplessness, uncertainty, and the desire for freedom.
When I began college as a Finance major, I had a professor who had started his own business and truly helped people. On the last day of class, he said something that stuck with me:
"Don't delay starting your own business, because time slips by—and later, you may lack the courage to take risks."
That advice lit a fire in me. I first joined a company (which turned out to be an MLM), but quickly realized it wasn’t the right path. I kept exploring and eventually discovered affiliate marketing and blogging.
I enrolled in a course that changed everything. It gave me the tools and confidence I needed—and now, I know I’ll never have to feel financially helpless again. That’s a powerful feeling, and one I hope you’ll experience too.
